With one meal provided daily and others by arrangements, we are dedicated to one reservation at a stay to give freedom and privacy surrounded by peace to our clients.

Watch as deer and wild turkey meander through the wild park-like yard. Birds range from the mighty eagles fishing in the river to the elusive phoebe living on our balcony. Nowhere in America are the birds more varied and colorful than the Midwest. More than a place to lodge, our retreat is a source of rejuvenation for the soul. Every human sense is reactivated whether you recline on the second story balcony, meditate in the patio spa or wander the woods on well-groomed trails. Mastodons once roamed the area as well as Indians, which the artifacts still attest to. The limestone cliff intrigues geologists with its hidden cave overlooking the river. Spring and summer are a botanist’s dream-come-true with wild woods-foliage erupting with flower and fungi. Fall brings the colors that artists’ pallets crave and strive to produce. Winter is magic, crisp, quiet and beautiful. Winter is a great time for cross-country skiing in the woods.
